I bet most of you were thinking this post would be about some hott piece of ass, like Brad Pitt or George Clooney.
Welp! My obsession is with this cutie
Every time I see him at a sporting event or on campus I fill with butterflies. I have no idea why.
Last week a co-worker was out on campus and Goldy happened to be there. She sent me a text with this photo and I squealed like a little child on Christmas morning. I was on cloud 9 for the rest of the day.
I'm really hoping at some point this year to get a family photo (Dex included) for the holiday card this year. I only have 330 days to make this happen.
I figure someone out there has a similar obsession with a mascot or maybe when you go to Disney World you get pee in your pants excited to see ________.
That's how the convo went with a co-worker yesterday about Katy Perry. Yes, some people can find her annoying and yes, I love her a little more than I hate her.
So I did what any person in this position would do... I bought tickets to see her live in Minneapolis in August. I'm not really into pop music. I'd rather hit up a country concert than a pop concert (unless that said pop concert was Miss Britney Spears). Let's hope a country concert doesn't happen to show up in town that same night. Although she does have Kacey Musgraves opening up for her that night. Glad I'll be getting my fill of country and pop music that night!
I had tickets to see her before we moved down to Missoura, well than we moved away so I had to sell my ticket. Then she released the concert movie/documentary "Part of Me" and I fell in love with her all over again.
I'm most excited to see her stage and costumes. If you haven't seen "Part of Me" you should watch it. Even if you don't like her just watch it for the stage set up and costumes.
pps her new album Prism is amazeballs.
some of my favorite Katy Perry songs of all time are:
Any convo that starts out "promise me you won't get mad", is never going to end well. case in point last Friday-I've been house sitting for the past two weeks and Ry-guy an Dexie had planned to come over and spend the weekend with my sick ass. I ask Ry-guy to bring our laptop over so I can use that instead of the Nook I've been using for the past few weeks. Well after some discussion about Ry already being packed and ready to go, about to leave our house with Dexter and his overnight bag (yes, he has an overnight bag already packed. #judgeaway) I told him to forget the laptop. I was kinda peeved but got over it.
A few hours later we sit down to eat some din din and he starts out the convo with "promise me you won't get mad", after some questions I finally say "okay, I promise you I won't get mad", Ry-guy tells me the laptop is dunzo.
in so many other words he tells me yadda yadda yadda the laptop yadda dropped and the yadda yadda screen is cracked.
I FLIP SHIT! I almost went as crazy as Teresa from RYONJ when she flipps the table.
Oh M GEE. Why didn't I get the memo about Sons of Anarchy before now. WHOA! Charlie Hunman is the hottest thing since the sun. I've been binge watching this show with all the time I had off for the holidays. It has not disappointed. Its only getting better.
Happy 2014 friends! I haven't been around these parts for a while now. I was sick almost the entire month of December with bronchitis, then Ryan got sick ( and we ladies all know how men get when they are sick) so I had to take care of him.
We finally celebrated Christmas and my 32nd, birthday was thrown in there five days before Christmas. Ryan was home sick from work that day, so I grabbed some take out and went home to watch some movies with him. Pretty lame compared to previous birthdays I've celebrated, although I wouldn't trade that night with him and Dex for anything.
back to Christmas the niece and nephews came up from Iowa and they are at the "fun age" ( I think) 3,4, and 8. Everything they say is just so funny. I wonder where they come up with this stuff. I didn't stop laughing any moment they were around. I wanted to share some fun moments from Christmas with you.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a very happy 2014! I'm ready to get back to blogging.
