I said I wouldn't do it...

If you've been around these parts for a while you might have read this post

Whelp! I went and did it. I bought a NOOK. I had full intention on purchasing an I-PAD, but after looking at the price more and more I decided (for once) to be practical with my money.

I've had the NOOK for a couple weeks now and can't put it down. I've even read a few books already. I can't imagine my life without this little gadget (okay I mean I can, but I don't' want to).  We hit up the North Shore with Meg and Mr. C a couple weekends ago and this thing was a lifesaver on the drive up and before bed. It was nice to just unwind with some reading or Tetris.  Other than that we were unplugged enjoying the scenery.

A couple of the books I've read as of late are:

Slammed by Colleen Hoover

Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover

This Girl by Colleen Hoover

if you haven't notice I've been on a Colleen Hoover binge lately. She writes amazing YA books. If you need a new book (or series) to read go get these books NOW!

Happy Reading!

  1. I love the Nook and even now that I own an iPad (total gift, I swear!), I use it most for reading on the Nook app. I am still in love with an "old-fashioned" bookshelf though. If you ever want to be Nook "friends" so we can borrow books, I'm always looking to add more :)

  2. TRAITOR! I kid! :)

I have been contemplating getting some kind of tablet in the near future and have settled for the New Nexus 7. I'm still up in the air about it though...I'll have to go over specs and reviews once more to make a sound decision...but I still love the scent of books :D that's not going to change.

  3. I bought a Kindle when the first came out, the very first one... BAD move. Less than 6 months later the Nook came out then color nook, then Kindle Fire, etc etc. It's so hard to keep up with all of it! Since working in a library I don't have a need for an e-reader, but maybe one day.... I've been coveting those Windows tablets from the ipad vs. windows commercials!

I love hearing from you. Thanks for taking the time to read about Dexter Morgan and his adventures.
