WILW

I'm loving Kitchen Nightmares.  I'm a little late to the game with this show, but I can't stop watching it. Lucky for me BBC-America plays it all the time.

I'm loving the QT I spent this weekend with the bestie and the family. This weekend was just what the doctor ordered.

I'm loving that Dexter Morgan showed us his Michael Phelps moves this weekend, and boy can he swim!

I'm loving that tomorrow is another Minnesota Bloggers event. Its always a great time to see these ladies, especially Meg.

I'm loving that today we're celebrating some of my colleagues with cake!  Its always a good day to come back to work when they serve cake.

I'm loving that I finally met with a migraine specialist and she gave me some great ideas to help combat my migraines. I'm looking forward to having my life back, just in time for Summer.

I'm loving corn on the cob. Summer has officially arrived.

I'm loving that Pretty Little Liars is back in two weeks!

Happy Hump Day!

what I'll be doing this Summer

Last Summer we were trapped  living in Missoura, with no friends and not much to do. Being back in Minnesota this Summer we've decided to do it up, really get out there and enjoy our Summer. Its only May 23 and we have about two available weekends the whole Summer to do nothing.

Friday Favorites

Styling Creme

I love, love, love these two hair cremes. I switch between the two. If you're looking for something to keep your hair smooth, look no further.

Bright Lipstick

I never, ever, thought I would be comfortable wearing this- Last weekend we went out and I didn't have any gloss, just bright lipstick. I received a lot of compliments on the shade. I might try it again.

I was wearing CoverGirl Blast Flipstick Lipcolor in Perky.

Family Feud

I downloaded the app for my phone. Its been keeping me company on the bus rides.  Whenever its on TV we have to watch it. I've always wanted to be on this show growing up. Go download it!

New Books

Two of my favorite authors have new books coming out soon. I can't wait to get my hands on them.
Mary Kay Andrews Ladies Night

(click on the links to find out more about the book)

Cards Against Humanity

If you've never played this game you're missing out. The game is similar to Apples to Apples, just slightly way more inappropriate.  This game is the best game since Clue.

Lastly, thanks for all your kind words/comments about my post for yesterday. I wasn't sure how people would react. I'm glad to be able to share things with you. Maybe I have to do a post about some of the annoying habits he has. (other than the watching wrestling)

What are you up to this weekend?

all about him

lately, I've really been struggling with blogging. I had forgotten the whole reason I started this blog was to document my life, my happenings, my Dexter Morgan, and Ry-guy.

I want to be able to look back on this blog and laugh, cry, and everything in between.

so here goes. a post about something near and dear to my heart. Ry-guy. With three years under our belt I've been thinking about all the great things about him, and a couple less than stellar things about him. gotta take the good with the bad, right?

he is the funniest person I know (besides myself). Not kidding. he says the most inappropriate things at the most inappropriate times. and I love it.

his favorite color is purple. because of the Minnesota Vikings.

his favorite sport is football. he never got to play as a kid. His mom was worried about him getting hurt.

he is 6 foot 5 inches tall. Much taller than me at 5'2.  If we ever make babies I hope they are as tall as him. Being short is no fun!

he loves Dexter Morgan as if he was his child. we refer to Dexter as our son, and Ry is his Papa. They have a great bond. when Ry first met Dex he said that he wasn't a real dog. a real dog (as defined by him) is at least 20 lbs. Dexter was about 5-6lbs when they met.

along with being the funniest person I know, he is the smartest person I know. We both really enjoy history, any part of history. I can ask him a question about an war, President, or event and he knows all about it.

he has one sister and four cousins all female. I'm pretty sure he gets special treatment for being the only boy.

he really wants to write a book.  his book would be for young girls about different historical events. we've already picked out character names, and events.

if we have babies he wants them to have the intials MMM. don't ask.

he doesn't drink beer. only hard cider.

his Bachelors degree is in Political Science.

he is a master couponer. yup, you read that right. he is always on the hunt for the best deal possible.

he's an amazing baker. Move over Betty Crocker!

I didn't read books till I met him.  well I didn't become OBSESSED with books until I met him. I became unemployed a couple month after we started dating. He told me to get a hobby. all my other hobbies cost a lot. Therefore, one day he brought me to the public library. I was hooked.

he taught me how to be poor. no joke. I grew up not understanding what broke was. My Mama always provided anything and everything we wanted/needed.  when I became unemployed he taught me how to make things last longer, what foods were the best tasting and cheapest. I learned a lot from him about saving our pennies.

he watches WWE wrestling. but just for the "story-lines"  he's a big fan of juicy dramas. when I first met him he told me he never missed an episode of "The Hills" and "Desperate Housewives".  feel free to start laughing. Now he's moved on to "Dallas" (the new one)

most of our disagreements stem from him not wanting to shave his face or his socks being left around the house.

in the three years I've known him he's only called in sick to work three times. he has the most incredible work ethic of anyone I've known.
