taking chances

Four days from now I will be heading back up to Minnesota. While I am very excited, I am also sad, nervous, anxious and everything else in between. I have met some pretty amazing people down here. I know this sounds weird, coming from the girl, who bitched and bitched about being down here.

My co-workers have been a dream. I don't know how I would have made it through the past nine months without them. I can honestly say I've formed some life long friendships with them. From our talks about books, movies, athletes, religion, politics,. my love obsession with Dexter Morgan. It was nice to be able to express my views and learn from their views. It was fun to hear about their background and where they grew up, from Georgia, to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and even England.

Before I got this job I told myself to be cautious about being "friends" with co-workers. I'm so thankful I let my guard down and became friends.    I can't wait to come back and visit everyone.

A while back, I was complaining to a friend about how miserable I was here. She told me to "start enjoying your time down there, because you don't want to look back (when you're gone) and realized you missed out." That's exactly what I did. and to the friend who had such wise words-THANK YOU!

Looking back I wish I would have enjoyed the time I had down here more. **Note to anyone moving**  Enjoy the time you have away from home. Take every chance you can. Talk to everyone, meet new people. You never know how much those people will impact you life.
