I couldn't have said it better myself

I love books, A LOT! Buying books is my worst addiction. Well maybe the love obsession of my dog is worse. Ry guy would point out that books cost money, obsessing over your dog doesn't.  I don't have an e-reader, and I don't plan get to an e-reader anytime soon. Do you guys have e-readers or do you prefer books? I'm curious about e-readers, but love the feel of having that book in your hand. Lugging the book around with you. Making sure there is room in my suitcase for books. Jen got her reading back. Wow! That was is terrible. I can't believe I tried to reference my-self with "How Stella got her Groove Back".  Sorry friends.

What are you guys reading? I have a zillion books I want to read, but I'm always on the look out for new books and authors.

TGIF!

  1. I am a book book person. I downloaded the Kindle app on my iphone and I used that for the 50 shades books, but other than that I'm sticking with the real thing.

  2. Hahaha - I love the 3rd one.

I have an iPad with the iBook and Kindle App. I like it because I can read in the dark when Jeremiah is trying to sleep, it's portable, and if I have a few extra seconds my iPhone syncs with the iPad so I can pick up right where I left off. There's something to be said about holding a real book, though. I finish mine so fast that it's nice to instantly download them too. :)

  3. I love my e-reader! I have a Kindle and the Kindle App on the iPad. I have probably read more books on these devices in the past year than I have for the past decade...sad, I know. I'm just not much of a reader to begin with but for some reason clicking on a book on the reader and having it download instantly is so much easier than going to the store to buy a book.

Plenty of my friends were scared they wouldn't enjoy the e-reader since they, like you, love having the book in their hands, but they love the Kindle now! Good luck if you ever make the decision to switch over :)

  4. I love these!

Don't have an e-reader and have no plans to get one. I prefer to read from a book. Plus, reading from a screen for an extended period of time hurts my eyes.

I've been doing a lot of reading over the summer since I actually have the time. Just finished Jodi Picoult's newest and am now working on Janet Evanovich's Explosive Eighteen.

  5. This whole post was made specifically for me. I briefly mentioned being interested an e-reader around Christmas time so of course my dad took that as "Oh she wants an e-reader, I'll go buy her one." I was a little disappointed when I got it because a. they're expensive and b. I have small dream. A dream that one day I'll own a house that has a library in it with 20 foot ceilings with books floor to ceiling and one of those sliding ladders and big leather couches and chairs where I can sit and read all my books.I'm super weird about wanting my OWN copy of any book I read. I won't borrow a book. And I definitely won't lend a book to someone. But then I got the e-reader. And I've become addicted. Because at 2 in the morning when I finish one book, I can't just run down to BAM and go buy another. But with my Kindle I can! Hahah. So there are pros and cons. Cons being I've read over 20 books this year and I have no actual copy of any of them. =( Sad day.

7 by Jen Hatmaker. What I'm currently reading and I love it so far!

Ok. I'm done. Geez, that was ridiculous.

I love hearing from you. Thanks for taking the time to read about Dexter Morgan and his adventures.
